Master Distiller Bryan Smith selected just 23 barrels for this release, drawing on two complementary sweet mash bourbons — the flagship BW-1 straight bourbon (73% corn, 19% rye, 8% malted barley) and the all-Indiana grain BW-5 (82% corn, 18% rye) — each aged in custom-toasted American oak before being finished in toasted French oak casks.
