Xicaru Anejo Mezcal 750ml

Xicaru Anejo Mezcal 750ml

Fernando SantibaƱez built the Xicaru lineup from the ground up — Silver for purity, 102 for power, Reposado for balance. The AƱejo is the final word. Serene and assured, like the resting jaguar on its label, this is a mezcal that has nothing left to prove.

The same 100% EspadĆn agave from Santiago MatatlĆ”n. The same pit roasting over native mesquite and ocote, tahona crushing, wild yeast fermentation, and double copper distillation. Then a minimum of one year in medium-toasted, previously used American oak barrels — a deliberate choice. Used barrels keep the wood from overwhelming the spirit, letting the agave remain the star while the oak adds depth and grace.

The patience pays off. Vanilla and toasted oak weave through the roasted agave on the nose, adding a warmth and sweetness the Silver and Reposado only hint at. The palate is fuller, rounder, and more concentrated — smoke and maguey anchored by caramel, dried fruit, and a long, smooth finish that lingers beautifully. Bottled at 43% ABV to preserve every essential characteristic of the mezcal.

The most approachable expression in the Xicaru family. The most complex sip of the three.
